Phobos

This is an illustration from over a year ago, I initially did a version of this right at the start of 2024 you can see in image 5. That was my first time experimenting with spray paint, the aim was to create a blurred effect but in a grainy way to push back parts of the image, so bring forward other parts, I remember really wanting that arm coming across to pop. It worked to an extent and at that time it was a good drawing for me. But I think I improved a lot over the following 9 months, I still liked that image and wanted to give it another try.

The redo definitely was an improvement, the thing I notice it most improved on now is the face, in the first attempt it was way too chromatic. Still a long way from perfect but it was interesting to look at two versions of the same thing 9 months apart!
